Migraine Relief 8-Week Series ONLINE

Migraine Relief 8-week Series Online

Join an experiential 8-week Migraine Relief Trial Series that combines the power of Hanna Somatics (neuromuscular re-education) and nervous system regulation to provide lasting relief from migraine pain and disruption.

Understanding Migraines as Conditioned Responses

I had my first migraine when I was 10, and thought they were unavoidable. I knew my triggers, could feel one coming, and was beholden to their occurrence. I don’t get them anymore or take any medication, and this is what I want you to know:

  • Migraines are a conditioned response. They did not become a prevailing reaction overnight, and it takes consistent practice over a series of weeks to update new information. Not a lot of time, but frequent and consistent effort. It is an inside job.
  • Migraines are a protective response, but they are also a misinterpretation of stimuli causing false alarm through our senses.
  • We can use our mind and our knowledge of structures and mechanisms to quiet the alarms so we can sense and feel a current safe state to disrupt the pain cycle and increase our window of tolerance.
  • We can learn to uncouple exertion and stimulation from stress reflexes.
  • We can learn to re-educate out of chronic tension and acquired stress

PLEASE only register for this series if:

  • you are willing to commit to twice weekly practices (live online and/or recorded on your schedule). The work works if we do it consistently.
  • you are willing to tolerate some short-term discomfort to resolve long-standing chronic pain cycles. Healing and learning requires us to move out of the familiar, which sometimes is uncomfortable.
