3 Zebra Care: Senses and Perception

$30.00

The mind narrates what the nervous system knows. Story follows state. Before the brain understands and makes meaning of an experience, the autonomic nervous system has assessed the situation and initiated a response- Neuroscientist Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor.

This lesson explores the cranial nerves and perception. We meet the brainstem, and learn a bit about how our senses work, and how we can begin to use that information to create experiences of felt safety. Practice may be done seated, lying down or reclined in a heart bed. There are also standing exercises with a block near a wall, which may also be done seated in a chair. REMEMBER: VISUALIZATION COUNTS. If you don't feel like moving today, that's ok. Just showing up is enough. Listening, envisioning, breathing, resonating with yourself is enough. It all adds to a sense of ease, which will accumulate over time with regular practice. You are worth the effort.
