16 Zebra Care: Mind Maps and Side Curl

$30.00

This practice explores another model of the different aspects of our mind which comprise our consciousness. We can also relate these ideas to models of our nervous system. Observing these relationships supports us in relating to our whole Soma, or felt sense of being. When we practice a felt sense of safety in our nervous system, it becomes a part of our repertoire. When we get allow ourselves to be present with compassion and curiosity, we build trust and dispel outdated stress. Different models of the ways our mind works support us in developing discernment.

For practice we will have an exercise with a block which may be done seated in a chair or standing. We will also play with one of my favorite sidelying combos! There's also a vertical version. If you're comfortable lying on your side, please have a comfortable spot with some space in front of you and behind you. In my home practice space I have a shearling rug for cozy floor work. Even a couple blankets on the floor can add comfort and a feeling of being cared for. You will also want a soft folded blanket or small firm pillow for beneath your head. If you are staying upright, please have a chair near a wall or a doorway, a mostly deflated theraball or squishy object to sit on, a bolster, and a soft folded blanket or small firm pillow for beneath your head.
