We begin our process of remembering safety in the nervous system with a quick overview of the areas and systems that decide our felt sense of safety. This presentation introduces the super-cool vagus nerve, a bidirectional communication pathway between the wisdom of your thinking brain and the wisdom of your gut. And we meet one of our best friends and most trust-worthy interpreters, the respiratory diaphragm. Practice is done seated comfortably in a chair. There is also a standing practice including a block, with seated modifications.
