Yoga Teacher Clinic - INTRODUCTION TO TEACHING MEDITATION IN THE YOGA TRADITION

This class is oriented for Yoga Teachers, but is suitable for anyone who has practiced meditation, or would like to deepen their meditation. In addition to providing optional 2 hours of YACEP continuing education credits, this class is part of our Certification for Teaching Meditation as well as part of Main Street Yoga Center - Ohio’s 200 and 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training programs.

Class will start with a guided meditation and will continue with a discussion on meditation within Patañjali's 8-limbed system as taught in the Himalayan Tradition. It will cover philosophy, teaching methodology, and practice of mantra, pranayama, pratyahara and some breathing practices. There will be short breaks, we will continue with additional guided practices, and discussion on how to teach meditation, methods of deepening meditation or other related topics of the students choice.

$25 if you pre-register, $30 at the door.

This 2 hour workshop is available at the very affordable price of $25. For those who want to apply for 2 hours of YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Program), there will be an additional charge of $15 ($40 total) and you will be supplied with a digital certificate to upload to Yoga Alliance. A hard-copy certificate suitable for framing is available for an additional $10 (total $50).

Led by Matt Lerner, ERYT-500. Matt is the director of Yoga Teacher Training at the Spiritual Life Society and has studied extensively with Swami Rama, Yogiraj Behramji, Swami Ajaya, Swami Veda, and many other teachers.
